El Mangroove is situated on 17 beautiful acres surrounded by virgin mangrove, a natural forest and boasts a 1 mile stretch of beachfront with sweeping views of fabulous Papagayo Bay in Guanacaste, Costa Rica. The resort is only 20 minutes from the Liberia International Airport and just 15 minutes from el Coco, a lively beach town complete with restaurants, bars, artsy souvenir markets, parks and shops so perfect for visitors who like to leave the resort and explore the local culture. The resort takes great pride in their “20 Minutes from touch down to sand” promise.
Like many resorts, El Mangroove is not for everyone, but I just love it. For visitors looking to travel to Costa Rica, and looking for a resort that is totally unique El Mangroove fits that description in so many ways. Making up the luxury boutique feel of the property is the perfect mix of contemporary linear architecture, bamboo and other woods, stone, water and natural furnishings with pops of color. This resort is naturally inspiring, wholesomely fresh and has a great romantic sexy vibe.
El Mangroove boasts 85 Guest Rooms and suites (2 ADA) each capturing the simplistic yet exotic character that is Costa Rica featuring natural wood furnishings, regional artwork, and contemporary stone finishes – seamless transitions between indoor and outdoor living is one of my favorite things about the suites at this resort. Large rooms starting at 625 square feet are amongst the largest rooms in the area, attention to detail with special touches like coloring books for adults and rainbow pencils to draw with. Rooms and suites include 24 hour in-room dining, 24 hour concierge, electronic safety boxes, 42 Plasma Screen TVs, in room minibars, iPad docking stations just to name a few.
Although El Mangroove is not a traditional all-inclusive resort, they do offer meal plan options – the food and beverage experience at this resort is best described as sustainable comfort food with farm- to- table and ocean-to-table menus combined with amazing views and ambiance. Dining experiences for every pallet, from burgers to fresh catch of the day are offered – ranging from 24 hour private service or dining at the 2 on-site restaurants and 2 on site lounges.
Other property highlights include a tour desk and rental car service, boutique, live DJs , meeting and events space, kids zone – included in the resort fee currently are WiFi,Kayaks, local calls,on-site bicycles and valet parking, gym and spa.
El Mangroove is a perfect choice to host your destination wedding – packages starting at $870 (subject to change) for an elopement for the bride and groom only – the resort offers a wide range of wedding packages for groups as well. The resort introduces natural beauty in a pristine tropical setting. The Guanacaste province is a land of volcanic peaks, scenic waterfalls, hot springs, flora and fauna so wedding guests have a wide variety of activities to choose from. Costa Rica as a destination has two well defined seasons Gold and Green- Gold season typically runs from November to April and the Green season from May to October. Rainfall during the green season typically occurs mid-afternoon. Temperatures vary little during the year with the average temperature of 80s to low 90s so plan according for your destination wedding.
Also congratulations for being recognized by Good Morning America as one of the best pool views in the world !
