“The beach is just the beginning” – is such a fitting tag line for the beautiful islands of Antigua and Barbuda – I recently had the opportunity to return again to these beautiful Caribbean islands and I wanted to take the opportunity to share some of what I love about Antigua – unfortunately as I write this post the beautiful island of Barbuda took a direct hit from Hurricane Irma, but Antigua is ready to welcome you – check out the the video for post hurricane status on the Antigua Tourist Board website above.
Amazing Service
The People of Antigua are so kind and gracious, every resorts I stayed at, restaurants I visited, the activities that I participated in were enhanced by the smiles and gracious service I received.
Resorts
Regardless of the type of resort you prefer, I am sure that you would find it on Antigua – from Historic World Heritage Sites, intimate cottage style resorts, or luxury all inclusive resorts there are so many options. I personally suggest these resorts Hermitage Bay, Sandals Antigua, Coco Bay, Galley Bay Resort, Carlisle Bay or something unique the Copper and Lumber Hotel.
Great island to explore – so much to see and do !
Devil’s Bridge, Shirley Heights, Unesco World Heritage Nelson Dockyard, go shopping in St. John’s City, visit a local restaurant such as Papa Zouk Fish & Rum, St. Barnabus Angelican Church- the oldest church on Antigua are just a few things you could do while on island.
