During these days of concerns of traveling outside the USA during Covid19 and clients in limbo about if they will get their passports in time to travel outside the USA, many of my clients are having to look for destinations within the country that will still give them the romantic honeymoon experience they are looking for. These resorts and destinations are some of my favorites for clients inside the USA, totally unique and different – but as a romance travel planner, having conversations with my clients to determine what their interest are as a couple, what they enjoy doing together at home, where they like to go to dinner, what new experiences would they like to try? I have found over the many years – it is the experiences that are the most important to most couples – they want to create memories on their honeymoon to last a lifetime. It might not be your first choice of a far away exotic destination, but there are any amazing, romantic hotels within the United States, something for every budget and experience a little closer to home for now.
Hawaiian Islands are normally at the top of the list, but currently they are within quarantine restrictions – but hopefully they will reopen to visitors early in the fall – Check this blog post for suggestions on choosing which Hawaii Island for your honeymoon – also as we anxiously await Governor Ige decision of when is is going to open the islands without the current mandatory quarantine inside your room for 14 days upon arrival you can learn more about their Covid10 Status on Go Hawaii website. U.S. Virgin Islands of St Croix, St John and St Thomas – as of 24 July 2020 the islands are open to visits but do have an aggressive COVID-19 protocol policy in place to reduce the spread of the virus including pre-arrival screening process.
San Juan, Puerto Rico Puerto Rico is encouraging only essential travel at this time and has postponed its official inbound tourism reopening in order to safeguard visitors and residents. the last date I heard tossed about was 31 August 2020 but that could change – so this website is the most accurate for information in regards to Puerto Rico.
