Five of my favorite swim up suites

A swim up room or suite allows you to access the pool directly from your patio or balcony, a big plus for many of my clients is not having to get up early and reserve a prime spot at the pool, and   you have access to everything in your suite. In addition many clients find it relaxing to access the pool in the evening after dinner as well. Swim up  rooms and suites as a rule will price higher than regular rooms so if you are a beach person, it might not be worth the extra cost, but if you want a unique experience convenient to your room, a swim up room or suite would be a great option to consider, if there is a negative to booking a swim up room or suite at some resorts, I would say it is the lack of privacy so you will definitely want to book with someone who has visited the most popular resorts and can best advise you of which option might be the best for you.

1. Calabash Cove Resort & Spa, St Lucia

These four swim-up junior suites equipped with their own jacuzzi- steps away from the infinity edge pool and pool bar. King size bed, en-suite bath, full bar, complimentary WiFi.

2.  Sandals Royal Bahamian, Nassau, Bahamas

3. Andaz Wailea, Maui, Hawaii

These specialty step-out pool-side suites boast 850-square-feet, master bedroom and separate living, complimentary minibar with snacks and non-alcoholic beverages, private lanai with stunning views. Unlike the Caribbean and Mexico where many resorts offer swim up suites, these are very rare in Hawaii.
