I am excited to share with you the newest addition to the McBryde Garden on Kaua’i celebrating the 50th anniversary of the non profit National Tropical Botanical Garden created by environmental artist Patrick Dougherty. Woven completely from plant materials gathered from the garden, the domed structure resides in a shady spot overlooking the garden. Rising up 25-feet high into the tree canopy, the 25-foot wide circular structure can be explored by visitors on McBryde’s self-guided tour. View the beautiful gardens from within the dome and get a bird’s eye view of the gardens below. Built through a process the artist calls “playing with sticks” thus the name for this wonderful new addition to McBryde Garden.
