Bespoke and Private Trending in Travel

Slowly but surely, travel is coming back and as I work with clients post pandemic, I am finding that more clients are wanting more bespoke and private experiences as we move to post pandemic travel. From the dawn of commercial air travel, those with deep enough pockets have always chosen to fly first class for one reason or another, but currently I am seeing more clients enlarge their budget to include first or business class flights as far away as the Maldives or at minimum, to pay for comfort plus in coach if offered by their airline.

More clients are asking for: 

Private airport transfers instead of shared transfers that are normally included with most all inclusive resort stays

Private Luxury Car Airport Transfers

Private accommodations ranging from villas for small groups, overwater bungalows,  exotic suites with private pools

Bespoke experiences like private dinners on the beach, on their suite patio, overwater cabanas and speed boat tours for private island picnics.

Destination Weddings for my clients have changed a bit to smaller mini-moons, most with guest counts of 6-12 people, lots of elopements by clients that are tired of waiting to get married at home, guest counts are smaller because they do not want to force anyone to travel if they do not feel safe, most plan on having a party later on with those who choose not to travel – private overwater wedding chapels, rooftop and unique venues are more popular now than ever and clients do not mind paying the extra fees to secure these venues.

Intimate groupings to mix and mingle with their new friends on resort, but yet socially distanced.

As discussions continue about whether or not to vaccinate, which destinations are open for those that are full vaccinated and choices for those that do not choose to get the vaccine, options are going to continue to open up and I am just so thankful that clients are getting to travel again and finding new ways to enhance their vacation with private and bespoke experiences is so exciting, together we can all learn how to be safe in this post pandemic travel environment.
